The GELATO Theory

A Travelling Art Show

THE GELATO THEORY is a public art experience comprised of paintings and installations by Guy Livneh, an award winning cinematographer. Guy has spent decades realizing dreams and visions on movie sets for some of the worlds most renowned actors directors and producers including : Patty Jenkins, Willem Defoe, Demi Moore, Werner Herzog , Charlize Theron and more. In the musical realm he has filmed music videos for artists such as Billy Idol, Queens of the Stone Age, Glen Campbell and Post Modern Jukebox while also filming documentaries about Johnny Cash, Sam Cooke and Bob Marley. In THE GELATO THEORY he has set out to create a free art experience for the public encouraging guests to leave their daily life outside and reflect inwards - while eating Gelato.
 

The first GELATO THEORY event took place on 22.2.22 in a wooden hangar from the 1940's in the port of Los Angeles. The second iteration with additional artworks and experiences was in Tel Aviv from 22/11-21/12/25 with multiple events including intimate live music shows.

The next city on this world tour is Budapest - opening on June 22nd, 2025
 

The GelatoTheory art show is designed for all ages and presents an intuitive way of looking at time, with a proposal of theories bridging pseudo science and spiritual notions such as choice and destiny in the multiverse while celebrating the wonders of creation - and GELATO.
